The most successful first-person shooter franchise in gaming history is back with its latest offering this fall. Activision has announced the next entry from the Call of Duty franchise. Titled Call of Duty: Ghosts, the new game will be released on November 5th for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC. No date was given for the next generation Xbox or the Playstation 4.
When gamers purchase the next-gen version of the game, they will notice a new gaming engine produced by Infinity Ward. The current engine has been used since 2005. The next DLC from the blockbuster Call of Duty Black Ops 2 will be released on April 16th for Xbox 360. The new DLC called Uprising brings four new multiplayer maps, as well as an new Zombie adventure, “Mob of the Dead.”
The map pack will include Encore, Vertigo, Magma, and Studio. Studio is a remake of sorts, harkening back to Firing Range, a map set on the backlot of a Hollywood-type setting. Read more on Black Ops 2 Releasing New DLC, Uprising on April 16th on Xbox 360…
After this latest update to Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Xbox 360 players are about to discover that the update is bringing along a new microtransaction system to the game. Even better yet, for those who never pre-ordered the game will finally be able to get the map Nuketown 2025 for free. For those without the Nuketown Zombies, will finally be able to purchase it for 400 MS points ($5). This “Micro Items” system will take affect starting tomorrow for Xbox 360. No definite date has been confirmed for PS3/PC owners but will announced later.
