Sony held the last press conference for the evening and sometimes it is best to be last. What started off as a decent presentation, it was clear at the end, Sony was out of blood and ready to curbstomp Microsoft. With price point of $399, Sony got the better of Microsoft in the price department. In a call out against Microsoft and their new attack against used games, Sony made it very clear that PS4 games could be traded, loaned out, or what ever you wanted to do with them was fine with them. If it worked so well with the PS3, why change it now? While the Xbox One is region restricted, it is now known that the PS4 will be region free as was the PS3. It is worth noting that developers can set a region lock on their software if they choose to do so. The PS4 will not require an internet connection nor will its games require any sort of online authentication. it is quite clear Sony is getting very aggressive in pursuing Microsoft’s fan base for this next generation.
