E3 started off with Microsoft attempting to set the tone for the day. We learned that the new console will cost $499 at retail. During the course of the press conference, it was not surprising to see Forza being shown off as it is always a crowd pleasure. The next entry in Halo will be called just that… Halo. I am usually not one to make fun of game names but I think their marketing team could have worked a little harder on that one. What was hinted at earlier this year has been finally uncovered, that being said, Killer Instinct is returning to consoles. It’s last appearance took place during a generation that was based in 16 bit graphics and could be a new contender for today’s fighting games. Killer Instinct will free to play on the Xbox One but will only come with one playable character.


A few years ago, around the launch of Super Meat Boy, Game Interface did an interview with Team Meat that was later used as an excerpt in Indie Game: The Movie. We were in the credits for it. Just a few days after a teaser trailer hit the internet, Batman: Arkham Origins gets the full cinematic trailer treatment. Set on a cold Christmas Eve night in Gotham, The nearly 5-minute trailer shows a younger Caped Crusader doing battle with Deathstroke, while Black Mask looks to get in on the fun.

Ubisoft’s Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon introduces us to another lavish adventure on yet another godforsaken isle, but rather set in the grim wake of 2007′s semi-cybernetic blood fueled nuclear dystopian future in this stand alone follow-up. Faceless hordes of cybernetic soldiers, cyber blood hungry, T-1000 look-alikes, giant laser-beam toting dragons, and the most ignorant breed of researchers inhabit the island, and it’s military strongholds. After being summoned by Doctor Darling, Sgt. Rex “Power” Colt, a sharp-tongued American Mark IV cyber commando with a lust for one-liners and kicking ass it is his job to liberate garrisons, save scientists, and gain the artillery and firepower required to overthrow the likes of Corneal Ike Sloan, the ex-cyber commando tyrant who murdered your brother in cyber arms, Lieutenant TT “Spider” Brown, that has started enhancing himself with the blood of the dragons and aims to bring in the apocalypse of the apocalypse.
